Project Requirements:
1) Poster must be formatted correctly (300 DPI and US letter size), with photoshop as the main design program
2) Poster must incorporate appropriate visual imagery to communicate the major themes of the play
3) Poster must NOT have black as a background color and must use all original artwork
4) Poster must incorporate the title of the play in a clear manner
5) Attention to Readability, Originality, Contrast and Atmospheric Perspective must be evident!

- Students will understand how to use basic photoshop tools, including how to download new fonts and brushes
- Students will be able to critique their peer's work to offer constructive feedback during the revision process

Academic Language:
- Visual Imagery: The picture that pops into your head when something is described to you in great detail OR seeing a photo and having it remind you of a place.
- Atmospheric Perspective: creating the illusion of depth and distance by choosing colors to simulate changes effected by atmosphere and the colors of things seen at a distance.
- Silhouette: The image of a person, animal, object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, with its edges matching the outline of the subject.
- Art Deco: An art movement from the 1920’s-40’s that is characterized by decorative and bold fonts/typography.
- Modernism: An art movement from the 1940’s influenced by industrialism that tried to disconnect from “traditional” art styles.
